SORRY!

I am so sorry that I haven't been posting! I have been super busy with school and stuff since my last post!  It's been about a year!  Anyway, I hope you'll forgive me. School has started, and I am in fifth grade now.  Woah, time has gone so fast.  So, I will be posting more often now. 

I have to watch Jillian practice soccer.

BOOKS I'M THANKFUL FOR!!

Thanksgiving is coming! In fact, it is tomorrow!! 

So, I decided to list some of the books (or series) I'm thankful for.

#1 Wonder- By: RJ Palicio  

August (Auggie) is starting a school for the first time (In fifth grade), because he had so many face surgeries.  Mr. Tushman sets up Auggie to meet Jack, Julian, and Charlotte (who are in his homeroom), and to give him a tour. Julian is really rude to Auggie (because of his face) . Jack and Auggie become really good friends.  Everybody stares at Auggie, because of his face. Julian starts putting really, really mean notes in Auggie's locker.  Jack ends up punching Julian in the face, because he was mean to Auggie.  Auggie meets Summer and they become friends.  Auggie went to a nature reserve and that got some of Julian's friends on his side, because four dudes were about to beat them up, and Miles and Henry stepped in (Henry and Miles are Julian's friends).

#2 JUDY MOODY!!!!!!!!!!! - By: Megan McDonald 

I've been reading a ton of this series lately.  It's about this girl named Judy Moody.  Her friends are Frank and Rocky.  Some books in this series are;

#3 Small As A Elephant- By: Jennifer Richard Jacobson

This is good.

So far anyway.  It's about a boy named Jack who wakes up and his mother isn't there.  He goes looking for her and she isn't anywhere nearby.  Jack realizes that he should look outside the campsite.  So he starts looking farther away from the campsite. Jack runs out of food and collects cans to turn in to get money to buy food. Jack also breaks his finger.

I  STILL HAVEN' T FINISHED THE SEVENTH BOOK!  I have like four pages left!! I know that's really bad!!  My favorite is still Goblet Of Fire!!

Jonas is a Twelve and he will be Assigned- or Selected, as he was, by the old Receiver Of Memory.
He has a little sister named Lily, who in the beginning is about to be a Nine.  Jonas starts seeing Fiona's hair red, in his world where it is colorless.  The Giver, as he asked Jonas to call him, gives Jonas memories of snow, sunshine, colors, etc. Gabriel, the newchild, his father, a Nurturer, brought home, Jonas takes him away and runs, runs, away!!

Summer Update!

Hello!  Sorry I haven't posted lately, I have been busy working on summer homework and going to the pool and such. I've read a ton of books this summer.  My favorite magazines this summer are American Girl and Young Rider.

As you can see, the majority of the books I've read are good books.  :)  Tell me in the comments how your summer's going, or any books you think I should read.  My summer is going great. I've gotten to go to the pool alot, and had a friend over.  I've read lots of good books, but I want you to tell me what you're reading.  I've gone to Welcome to Middle school camp. (I'm in Fourth grade next year!!!!!) I also got my braces off (YAY!) I also got my hair cut short.  We (The Bicknells) got a pool membership. (Books are MY idea of fun.  Pools too!) I finished the library summer reading program already.  (And my summer homework reading!!!  :) :) :))

A new book review... Charlotte's Web

Title:  Charlotte's Web!
Author:  E.B. White
184 pages

This book is about a girl named Fern, who raised a baby pig. (His name isWilbur he was the smallest piglet in the litter. This is called the runt.)  At 6 weeks of age , he was sold to her Uncle Homer.  He at first was very lonely.  Then he found a friend named Charlotte.  Charlotte is a spider.  The goose on the farm talked in threes! Then Wilbur learned he would be made into ham and bacon, he cried and said "I don't want to die Charlotte." Then Charlotte said "You will not die.  I will save you."

The rest of the story is about Charlotte saving Wilbur by spinning words into her web.  The first thing she used was: SOME PIG.
She spun other words too, but you can read about those.

The ending is sad, I'm just warning you!


I give this book 5 out of 5 piglets.  

Book Review - Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew: The Make-a-Pet Mystery

Title -  Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew:  The Make-A-Pet Mystery
Author - Carolyn Keene
Pages - 82 (plus some pages with craft instructions)

Nancy Drew and her friends are making their Make- A- Pets.  They are so excited.  The first station is 'choose your pet'.  Nancy chose a puppy.  One of her freinds (Bess) chose a cat.  Another friend (George - her real name is Georgia) picked a Tiger.  The place is a lot like Build-A-Bear.  The next step was fill up your pet.  Tabitha ( A employee) had to help them with this part!  The next step was dress your pet.  Nancy chose a blue sweater for her puppy. Bess picked out a pink ruffled dress for her kitty.   George picked out a karate outfit for her tiger.  The next station was name your pet.  Nancy decided Mocha chip for her puppy. Bess named her kitty Itty Bitty.  George stuck to Furrrocious for her bear.

Then one day, Violet was going to Make-A-Pet.  (Violet is another of Nancy's friends.)  Violet wanted to make a bunny named Hoppity.  Another one of the characters (I forgot her name) stole the name she wanted to use.  (I think it's Catherine.)  They were trying to find out who wanted the name.  That's the first mystery.

There is a second mystery - Well, there's a game online called Petopia and someone was messing around with Violet's account.  They were making it do weird things like dumpinig their treasure into the river!

I'm not going to tell you who really did it, because you'll have to read the book first!

Its Raining Cupcakes!

Title:  It's Raining Cupcakes
Author:  Lisa Schroeder
Pages = 193

This book is about a girl and her mom who are making their own cupcake business.  The girl's name is Isabel and I don't know the mom's name.  And they're having trouble, stuff needs to be done such as: painting the walls, making up cupcake names, and stuff like that.  In the end every thing is all right!  Can you believe that?!  After her mom thought they could not do it.  Isabel decided to compete against other people her age to make original recipes for cupcakes.  The winners flew to New York to go in the baking competition.  I won't tell you who wins because that's in the next book!  (Sprinkles and Secrets!)  Do you see the lesson in this book?  I want you to figure it out when you read it!

Rating:  I give this book 5 out of 5 cupcakes!
